You could try searching the National Archives of Scotland to see whether anything shows for the names you have:

I'm sure I was able to find a reference to one on the NAS Catalogue, but can't remember how. Huh Off to retrace my steps ... Grin

I'm sure it was something like "Female birth [date]"

I managed to find it. Smiley In this case, it was the mother v. the "reputed" father (both mentioned in the catalogue) along with the date of birth of daughter (not mentioned by name).

So perhaps try just searching their names. I would leave out dates as it could have been a few years before a paternity case was filed, etc.
