Does anyone have any information on Johnston Murdoch, son of Peter Murdoch and Elizabeth Rainy, died in his thirties, 25 July, 1888 at Auchterellon, Ellon.  Johnston is buried in the Ellon Churchyard.

Hi and Welcome   Smiley

The death cert shows that he died suddenly of possible heart disease. There's a Register of Corrected Entries for him.  He was 39, a farm servant and married to Elizabeth Kelly.  His son, William, was the informant.

Johnston Murdoch and Eliza Kelly married, Ellon on 17 Dec 1868. (IGI extracted entry from the OPRs)

I'm not sure what other information you'd like. I could go back to his parents' generation but you may prefer to do that yourself.

The information is likely to be available on www.familysearch.org and  www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Hi ev Cheesy

Small world!

I didn't notice the entry above - too busy trying to read the marginal RCE note!

I lived  and worked in Aberdeen for 4-5 years and travelled around many of the registry offices collecting BMD info. but, until today, I'd not come across King Edward as a parish. I think it was outwith the Foresterhill remit!

Wow!  Thank you so much for the detailed posts!  On another website I met someone who was a gtgranddaughter of Johnston Murdoch but we couldn't make the connection properly.  I think your info may help.  I must go now, real life, but I will get back to you.
