Hi Shaun
as said previously i sent an email to St Andrew on the 5th November my first one to a church. Asking if they could tell me if Leonard was gremated or buried in the churchyard.I have this evening recieved a reply from the Sacristan to whom my post was past on to by the Rev'd.She has informed me that Leonard is buried in a single grave in the churchyard of St Andrew Kingswood Smiley. She then goes on to say that they have to charge £19 for a search of the church records, please send a cheque to.I didnt ask for a seach Smiley so what would the records find if i did, which i am not Smiley

Hi Celia,

The farm got a mention in this piece in the Telegraph in May http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property/main.jhtml?xml=/property/2007/05/22/psutton122.xml

Does the sacristan want £19 for looking for the information she's already given you? That's not on unless you agreed to the charge beforehand.

Celia, I know the church well as my niece got married there and I have family in the area. I will not be in the area until Spring but if there is anything that a personal visit can find and it does not cost that ridiculous fee, please let me know.

Geoff
Thank you for the kind offer,I don't know why the lady thought i needed church records looking up as i never asked i only wanted to know where he was buried and she told me that Smiley. The only reason i tried the church is because i wanted to put an add for family in a newspaper.Unfortunately so far three have not replied Sad. I will P.M you later,Many thanks
