Hm - I don't think they're the ones:

They're in Worcestershire, all born Worcestershire, dad an Ag lab  Undecided

Also, they have older children when the marriage for Alfred and Sarah was in Kensington in 1868  Undecided

And finally, they are elsewhere in 1881  Undecided

I do think the Johnson family I found earlier are very likely candidates (but I agree it's not evident to accept  Tongue

If you order the marriage cert and Sarah's dad was Thomas Cook a cab driver then I'd say it would clinch it...

The marriage is Sarah Cook - Alfred Tomkins (I still suspect the Johnson name in 1871 is just a mistake)

June 1868
Kensington 1a 89
Sarah Cook - Alfred Tomkins

I am waiting for Alfred Tompkins and Sarah cooks's marriage cert,

assuming these are the correct people i want to find the marriage cert of thomas cook and sarah (?) who are living next door.  i have found 24 thomas cooks marrying a sarah in the years 1849 - 51.

i have eliminated many as i am assuming i am still looking in middlesex area.  how do i know which one it will be even if i were to order the certificates?

The best way to do it would be to order the birth cert for one of their children (providing you can identify them). Birth cert will give you mother's maiden name and from there you can search for the marriage.

I can't identify the family in 1851  Huh
