Excuse me while I hit the "Bingo" button!!!!
Barbara Wilhemina Liebermann baptised 13 Sep 1818 in Lymington, parents Christoph and Mary
There is another Liebermann baptism in Lymington in 1814 - Mary, parents Cornelius & Mary - she appears to have been buried aged 16 in Milford, recordered as Liberman. A Cornelius Liebermann died in Lymington RD in 1854.
All I can say - Brilliant, fantastic - you may have solved the problem!!!!! A number of Liebermanns show up in FreeBMD for Lymington RD.
Interestingly, a 2 year old Samuel Read appears on the census with Cornelius in 1841 in Milford (HO107/393/4/6 p 7). Cornelius appears to be an army pensioner. And Stephen and Wilhemina are there too - HO107/393/4/15 p 24
Marriage: Stephen READE & Wilhemina LIEBERMAN Dec qtr 1838 Lymington 8 287
Nell
Thanks for the kind welcome Nell. I've lurked here for a while, but this is the first time I've been able to help.
To add to the children already mentioned. Here are the rest that I have for Benjamin and Sarah:
Sarah b. 1811 in Milford, d. 1826 Stephen b. 1871 in Pennington, d. 1872 Charlotte, b. 1822 in Milford, d. 14 09 1860 Martha Ann b. 1826 in Milford Ruth, b. 1830 in Poole, Dorset Fanny b. 1833 in Kingston Thomas b. 1833 in Poole, Dorset
I believe that Benjamin, born in 1789, was the son of George and Ruth Read. This George may have been the one who drowned in Lymington River on 29 06 1810. Sarah was born on 26 09 1790 in Pennington.
If anyone can add anything going further back than that, I would be delighted to hear from them!
Thanks for finding the marriage of Stephen and Wilhemina. That extra 'e' in Reade caught me out on that one!
