It would be interesting to get a copy of the marriage certificate from the Leominster Register Office to see how old Alice said she was when they were married.

In 1851 John aged 18 was at home in Lucton with father John aged 50, William 13 and Emma 10.
His Mother must have died. Possible death of Mary Dyer in April 1842.
A possible marriage John Dyer married Mary Langford in October 1829 in Longnor Shropshire. Getting Emma's birth certificate from Leominster Register Office would confirm her Mothers names.

Hello Rosie
Was excited to see this as Arthur George Robert was my Great Great Grandfather and was born in Dilwyn in June 1862. He married Alice Elizabeth Evans in November 1885 (she was 15). They went on to have 12 children. I have traced the Dyer branch back to Marden, Herefordshire to Philip Dyer, who was born in Marden in 1685 and the Evans Branch back to Thomas Evans born in Dilwyn in March 1783. If you respond to this I would be happy to share my family tree with you.
Kind regards
Jason

Hi Jason,
I think we have been in touch before, about 3 years ago. I think you have probably a lot more info than I have, but it would be interesting to share our knowledge. I was wondering if you had any old photos. The only ones I have are ones that I took are of Ted before he passed away.

My mothers great great great grandfather was john Dyer who seems to have adopted his wifes name of Colerick after they married, why? and their children were Colericks and not Dyers, why?
