Just to put everyone up to date, there are no Indians or Trathers in local phone book so they all either emigrated, died out or went ex directory. However there is  a Slowther listed.
Asking locally there seem to be no indians or trathers in the area.

Hi Laurie
If and when I sort myself out and get to the Durham Record Office (In the very near future) you will be the first to get any info that I come across. I take it that I am not in the dog house with you then.

Thanks & regards

In the dog house? Good heavens, no, not at all. You said you had an interest in the Indian family, and honestly, I don't care much what the interest is if we can collaborate Smiley Many people who are part of the family aren't much interested, so any interest is welcomed. Thanks for thinking of me when you head out there!

Thank you, Bob. The Slowthers came to America as well, at least the Indian-Slowther family. How interesting that there are no Trathans or Indians remaining! I appreciate you checking that out Smiley
