I'm looking for ggm's family...

Catharine Dixon (38) born Bucks, Ellen (17) , James (Cool, Thomas (3),  Sarah (1) all born Oxford.

Oxford St Thomas from 1881 onwards with Catherine as widdow. I don't know if Catharine is still married prior.. or if ever was given what her female descendants went on to do Smiley

On the 1871 census. The entry is as follows. Christopher Wright Head  widower umbrella maker born in Ireland.
Mathew Dixon  son in law married umbrella maker born in Upton upon severn
Katharine Dixon daughter married 38 seamstress born in Newport Pagnell
Mary A Dixon grand daughter 18           "  " born in Oxford.
Ellen Dixon  grand daughter   16          "  " born in Oxford
Mathew Dixon grandson      13      scholar born in Oxford
Katherine Dixon  grand daughter 10  "          "
James Dixon  grandson   8            "         "
Rose Dixon grand daughter  5       "       "
Thomas Dixon  grandson   3        "    "
Sarah Dixon granddaughter   1   Hope this helps Pauline

     Matthew was 41.   Charles  67. Their address on the 1871 census
9 High Street. Oxford. ( High Street in Oxford is a row of shops)
