deaths lookup 1900's

looking for  death of john grigor  born alness i believe in 1919, someone has searched b m d at edinburgh but cannot find a marriage or death for him, maybe died in the 2nd world war, could anyone help at all.

Just looked on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.  No John Grigors killed during WWII
