1891 Census Look Up Gloucestershire

Could anyone please help me with a look up in the 1891 Census. I am looking for 2 families:

James THORNE and his wife
Sarah A   "       born 1850 Birmingham
Ada Annie born 1872 Charlton Kings
Henry L    born 1873       "
Gertrude  E  born 1875  "
Emily F  born 1877         "
William J born 1878       "
Earnest born 1880       "

I need the 1871 as well for this family if by any chance anyone has a copy.

The other person i need in the 1891 Census is:
Walter William SPREAG born 1864 Cheltenham Glos and his family.


Any help i would be very greatful for

Hi Jackie!

Very little news, I can see now why no-one has replied!

Walter Wm Spreag: nothing at all in 1871 so far.

James Thorne: was he married in 1871?  I found 3, none of whom are married to the right person (and of course children would not be born yet)

James K THORNE born Milverton aged 20 at St Philip and St James, Cheltenham with borther Robert, his wife Charlotte and children Samuel K and william K

James THORNE born Wilts aged 53 at Charlton Kings with wife Susan

James THORNE born Somerset aged 28 son of family at St Philip and St James, Cheltenham.

Do any of these seem likely?  They are not available in 1991, seemingly, at least I didn't find them.

Thank you for yor reply. I cannot find Walter Wm Spreag anywhere either. Another one that likes to dissappear!!!!

Regarding James Thorn the details i have are regarding the 1881 Census where he was living at Church Piece, Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire.
Yes this James did marry Sarah A Spreag in 1870. In Cheltenham. But Sarah was born in Birmingham in 1850.
On the 1881 Census it says that James was Born in Nettlebridge Somerset and he was a Stonemason, his age is given as 30.
The one you mention in Charlton Kings is interesting as thats where they were in 1881. On the other hand the one aged 20 is the right age? And the other one born in the right place.? 
Ooooooh who ever thought this game was easy?Huh
I am going off to see if i can do some more checking on this lot?

Coincidentally, I notice you collect your namesakes!!

I have a possiblity of a Julia DOLLIMORE in my husband's tree, who married a Frederic Hall FAIRCLOTH (great name!!) 21 Jan 1825 in Wheathampstead, Herts.  Any connection???  Undecided

Hi Sue,

As yet unfortunatly i have no connection with the  Dollimore family in Hertfordshire, but i do have a few contacts that are researching the name in Hertfordshire which you might be interested in. If you do let me know and i will send them to you.

Regarding the Thornes i have just checked the 1901 and James is 50 and born in Nettlebridge Somerset. He is now living in Portsmouth. Sarah is not listed so perhaps she had died.
