Samuel Leith achieved considerable acclaim and the award of a Gold Medal for his contribution as a lithographic printer of fine art works, firstly in Banff from 1830 to 1835, then in Edinburgh, where he continued in business until shortly before his death in 1857.
I have traced and am in regular contact with the descendants of several of his children who emigrated to Australia and New Zealand. However, other members of his family remained in Scotland.
If there are any surviving members of this Family who would like to contact me, I have masses of information, including a biography and a number of family photographs that I would be delighted to share.

Hello David you may already have this, but I have a reprint of the Annuals of Banff, and Samuel Leith, his father Peter and of an John Leith (1715) servant to Lord George, Lord of Banff. If you would like full transcript of the MI then please let me know and I will be happy to send.
I was very pleased indeed to hear from you and receive your very kind offer to send me the full transcript of the MI of the Annals of Banff. In spite of the depth of my research, this information is entirely new to me and I would be delighted to receive a copy.
I do not know whether you will be sending this by post or e-mail, but I have sent you a personal message through the Rootschat facility sending you the details.
Thank you again for your kindness which is deeply appreciated.
