Bungty(?) Cottage
William Mason 40 Occupation: Mason Linton, Hereford
Charlotte 31 Suckley Worc
Ella dau 7 Linton
Fred son 5 Linton
Mercey dau 2 Linton
1871 Linton
Bringlsy Common
William Mason 30 Linton
Charlotte wife 29 Suckley
Infant son 1 month Linton (thinking outloud probably died worth a BMD check ?)
William Mason married Charlotte Caswell March Q 1870

You are right - I think. I have:
1891 Linton
John Mason (could be your John Meason) 44 bricklayer Linton
Sarah Wife 44 Linton
Hahan (mis-spelling? / Could this be Ann (from your 1861) Grubham Aunt 79 Linton
and
William Mason Bricklayer 50 Linton
Charlotte wife 47 Suckley Worc
Fredrick Mason son 15 Linton
Annie dau 9 Linton

I carnt see a William Mason born or living in Linton Herefordshire, but strangley enough there is a William Grubham born there, with parents Joseph and Caroline, Joseph is a bricklayer
only other William Mason born about the right time are these two
William Mason born 1843 Colwall parents James and Hannah living at Colwall
William Mason born 1843 Cradley parents William and Ann living at Cradley

I wonder if the 1841 will reveal a connection (brother sister?) between your Jospeh and Caroline Grubham and Ann Grubham (Aunt of William Mason)?
are there any William Meason in Linton in 1851?

1841 Caroline Mason (b. 1821) Joseph Grub unlocated son Willliam 9m
1851 Carloine Grubham (b. 1823) with Joseph Grubham son William 10y
1861 Caroline Mason (b. 1821) servant in house of Joseph
perhaps they separated or divorced / were they ever married?
