Checked BVRI 2nd edition. Could not find any more info on either family besides below.

Martha's maiden name can be found on the cert for youngest child. Only one that came up between 1839 - 1841, so looks very likely the right one.

As mentioned Ruby their marriage was before registration, Davies is a common name and nothing leapt out on the IGI or BVRI, so it's just guesswork if I find anything not fact.
To get Martha's maiden name you will have to get the cert for her last child Joseph, luckily he was born just after registration came in.
Once you have this you maybe able to pinpoint possible marriage with parish info.
