Hi I have possibly found a marriage which is sounding right but is anyone able to look-up at archives for me to check fathers name?
John William LESTER Jun quart. 1896 dis. Market Drayton
poss. spouse Mary Elizabeth PLANT?
My John's father is William LESTER
any info would be greatfully received

Hi Elaine,

The other couple on the same page on freebmd marriages are Ernest Wood and Rose Webb, and they seem to be together on the 1901 census, so by elimination it looks as if John William Lester did marry Mary Elizabeth Plant in Jun Qu 1896

1901 census has John (born Stoke on Trent) and Mary Lester (born Market Drayton) living in Bridgnorth St. Mary with children William J and Lillian E - full details if you don't already have them.
