Greeting’s & Welcome. …….. Loisand.

There are TWO Halls within the Village of Queniborough.
Queniborough is just the one Main Street Going from West to East..

“ The Old Hall “ :~ West end of the Village.
“ The New Hall “ :~ East end of the Village.
As of the Village maps 1878.~ 1904.

On the 1841. Census returns “ Bottom Hall “ comes on Page 7.
Head of Household Elizabeth Sutton Aged. 80.
With several servants within the household.

So it depends which end the enumerator started from.

looking from the physical side of things - the West end of the village is i believe the lower ground. the land rises gently to the East up towards Croxton.

Deducation bottom Hall is the one to the west of the village 'the old Hall'

(but i may be wrong..)

Not sure if this helps.

The top of the village is always referred to the area around the church so the top hall is the one known as "The Old Hall"  at the side of the church and the bottom hall is known as the "New Hall" which is (just off Coppice Lane)
