Believe it or not I cannot get past the first hurdle of attaching a photo. I have chosen one out of my pictures but I do not know HOW TO ATTACH 
It is easy in E Mail but this is not the same.. I have been over this again and again and in bed last night I was reading Bob's 16?pages again. Having got up out of bed. once again, I am no further on.
Think the best thing is to go back and try and get some sleep and try again in the morning. I am sure I will get there with your help and then will realize how daft I have been.

First, where is the file that you want to attach? is it in 'My Pictures', 'My documents' or another folder?

It is a small pic in My documents . One of a file I received of about 70.
I receive these in batches now and again from one of my grandsons in Canada

PS It is picking just one picture from the lot that is the problem. It has Norah 1 beneath it I have tried clicking the picture but do not know how it will attach

When you go to 'attach a photograph' below your message, can you get to 'My documents' and if so, can you find the file?

I have gone into My Documents and cannot find the pic but then I clicked on My Pictures in My Documents and I have never seenanything like . Almost every thing that has been received is on a great long page and they are not onle pics but Files probably belonging to my husband and for some reasom all the massive amount of gensus I have filed.
I am lost in a jungle. If fact some of them are files which have no names. I have never been on this page before

Norah -can you open it in any program?
Otherwise, Go to Search on the start menu (down at the bottom left corner) and put in the name of the file. When it comes up, note down the address it gives you and report back.
I'll be here for about 15 mins more

I went to Search but it did not come up and then I remembered that when the pics arrived they somehow or other went into a Shaw Photo File which is in the Toolbar of my favourites. I have AOL!!
When I receive more pics I found that the old ones diappeared and were replaced by the new. In reality the Shaw photos name is not in either My Documents or MY Pictures.
This must be one of the rubbish mistakes I made but I was pleased to find they added themselves automatically
I do not want to keep you up any longer. I will have to look for something else which is Hopefully in MY Documents

To everybody, A bleary eyed Good Morning
I went back to bed last night but determined ,went down stairs onto the computer again.
I realized that sending the attachment is what I do on the AOL E Mail . However, having browsed, selected and opened what I wanted to send from My Document, I found that the name of the item came up in the browse line not just with the name I have given it in My Documents but with
C: Documents/My Documents/ my husband's name/and eventually the name I gave to the item I wished to send.
When sending an attachment in Email all that it shown is the name of the photo/document and I expected to see just that before I posted onto the thread reply. I gave up at 4.30 a.m. wondering what would have actually appeared had I posted. 
AS those across the pond say, HAVE A GOOD DAY

Firstly, should I get all that, including my husband's name
as well as the name of the item I want to post , on the browse line before sending?
I did try again and just sent regardless but I think the item was too big
Also ,I now find I must have clicked a thumbnail button by mistake and that is why I received all the files in MY Documents as such instead of l the names in alphabetical order. Not being clever enough I do not know how to restored the My Documents into name order and get rid of the thumb nails 
Have you been up all night!!!
