Hi Norah - I had a few hours sleep 
When you've pressed the <browse> button it opens up the default folder - My Document or whatever. If your file is there just click on <Open> and the full address of the file is displayed in the bar. When you press the <send> button, only the file name will be displayed below your image when it appears so don't worry.
Try and send an image which is less than 500kb.
Have a go

Thank you for all of your help and patience
Strangely. as soon as we bought a computer I put the name of one of my grt. grandad's sisters in to Google and found a web site in Canada with this picture. The man Samuel Campbell was the brother of my grt. grandmother. It was like winnig the lottery. Course, nothing has been as easy since.
I think I had better go and have some breakfast...IN PEACE...without a brain battering away, thanks to all of you.
There is nothing as good as Roots Chat and all the Chatters who are the best in the world

I realize there is still something to learn in making pictures small enough to send. I sent what I thought was tiny!
I think we, all, should have a badge when we have graduated to a level of some competence. 
Hope there is a blue background quote at the top. being clever after all that was learned yesterday

Thank you for the Smiley links. Noticed your names on the site. My head has just shrunk back to normal seeing all the clever things that can happen.
After going thru the pages will try the test and send.
I am still reading, " How to use a COMPUTER." and have been avoiding those BBC tags but the help on these pages certainly achieves undreamed of result.
Thought I would get some exercise to day ...feeling guilty sitting for hours.....but Thank Goodness it has just started to pour down.
