Census 1871/1891 HODGE

Hi, can anyone help me by looking for HODGE in the 1871 and 1891 Census for Alloa.

I'm trying to find my ggrandmother's ( JANE BARNS ) place and approx. year of birth. She married WILLIAM HODGE on 4th June 1869 and by 1871 they had two children,John b 1869 and Marion b 1870. Both born in Alloa. I have another two children,Margaret Mitchell 1872 and Jane 1874 but as yet no sign of my grandfather.ALEXANDER . His marriage certificate 1910 gives his age as 25 - birth c 1884/5 and his parents as William and Jane.

The only other information I have is that William was a Blacksmith and a 1910 address 25 Greenfield/Greenfeld St.

Hoping someone can help

Hi Joe, see you're into express deliveries!

Yep that's my lot. Did you notice if all the children were born in Alloa? I'm assuming they were as even my father was born in Greenfield St. A few more children than I knew about and obviously Jane wasn't born in 1874 I'll assume the first Jane died. Are those initials for middle names after Mary?

Could the steam ? maker be steam engine maker.  I know that in later life he worked as a marine engineer.

I knew that Jane Barns had died before 1910 now it looks as if she died between 1886 and 1891.

Thanks also for the details from St Ninians I have most of this but funnily enough as Bankin Farm maybe I'll have better luck looking for Bankend Farm.

yes initials after mary's name

yes no doubt steam engine

john was born in the raploch area of stirling
