Anthony Gregson was an auctioneer and I'm sure he would leave a will he died at Albert Street Newcastle on 17.1.1842
If he did leave a will where should I begin to look

You don't say which Newcastle you are looking for. For wills it is best to start at the county record office. However for Newcastle upon Tyne which at that time was under the Consistory Court of Durham they are possibly in the Durham record office. However the Northumberland record office in Newcastle will know.
It would have been best to have posted this request on the Northumberland thread
