Posts on this board, the "One Name Interest Common Room" should relate to general issues about surname interests.  Postings relating to specific surname interests should be put on one of the four alphabetic One Name Interest boards

You don't need to have your one name study registered with the Guild of One Name Studies (GOONS) to post on the RootsChat One Name Studies Boards of course but you may ultimately wish to register with them.  If you are registered with GOONS you can also post your information on the GOONS members board at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,297.0.html

Postings on these Boards should relate to general surname studies and not for information about specific individuals or family groups - these types of requests are better suited to the County or Census/Lookup Boards.

When posting on the one name interest boards please provide the title in the following formay "SURNAME, Area of Interest, Dates of Interest".  If you are interested in all occurrences then "SURNAME, All" is OK.
