Please could some kind person look up on the 1841 & 1851 census.

Rachel Gatehouse born Dover, Kent circa 1829.

Parentage unkown.

Looking at your other post, I assume she is the one who married Henry RATCLIFFE.  The 1861 census shows her age as 24 ie. bc1836 which could correspond with a Rachel Ann GATEHOUSE bp1836 Dover see http://www.familysearch.org

Hi

I had noticed that entry, but I was hopeing the 1841 and 1851 census would confirm this. As with Henry Ratcliffe their DOB does not tally with the 1881 census. Where thry have stated they are 50 and 51?

This family research is never easy.

In both 1861 and 1871 Rachel's age coincides with a birthdate c1836 plus the additional information in 1861 as born Dover St Mary which matches with the baptism on the IGI.
