Where did he go?
« on: Sunday 18 November 07 19:59 UTC (UK) »

Trying to trace a Thomas George Croftwright b: June 1862 in Marylebone, London. Married in June 1884 in Kensington, London and then around 1898 did a runner from wife and family. Did he go to South Africa? Any information would be most appreciated in order to close this chapter of Family History.

That's a very unusual surname.

Any thoughts about why he may have gone to South Africa? The Boer War was just kicking off then.

None at all, it's just that he went somewhere and one place is as good as any if your trying to get lost I suppose. he was not military, but the war may have been an attraction.
