Does anyone have any information at all on Isabella Mary Croftwright / Wright who was born in 1885, baptised in Chelsea, London and then ended up working in Portwey Hospital Weymouth. Lived in Weymouth somewhere and not sure when died or where buried. was known as Auntie Bella. Have a feeling that she was a nurse and a spinster. Any information would be most appreciated.

Hi Graham,

On FreeBMD there is a birth registration for an Isabella Mary Croftwright  Jun 1885 Chelsea  1a   389; sounds like your lady.

Have you checked the Phone Books on www.ancestry.co.uk? Bit of a long shot or you could try the electoral rolls for the Weymouth area.

I'm not sure where records for Portwey Hospital might be; perhaps the Dorset History Centre in Dorchester could help you?
