Hi Sarah WARD married George NEWELL in Guilden Morden, Cambs on 9th Dec 1771 they appear to have had four children in Wrestlingworth - Lettice, George, Mary and Ann. Ann the last born was baptised 2 Feb 1778. George senior was buried in 1798 in Wrestlingworth but I haven't found a burial for Sarah - could someone do a look-up for me please? I know there is a Sarah Newell buried 24 Jul 1804 but she appears to be the first wife of George son of the above couple. Thank you Jan

Apologies for the delay: been waiting for France Telecom to fix my line!
There's a Sarah Newil buried in Wrestlingworth on 21 June 1783 which might be her. You'll need someone to check the transcript to see if it says she is "wife of George"
There's a marriage on the IGI of George to Mary Huckell on 10 Feb 1787 which might be the widower
Regard
David

Jan, from Wrestlingworth PR
Sarah buried 21 June 1783, was wife of George Newil, blacksmith
Marriage on 10 Feb 1787 of George Newill, widower to Mary Huckle, widow
Burial of Francis Huckle, labourer on 8 Oct 1785 Burial of Francis, son of Francis & Mary Huckle 10 Apr 1785 The son Francis was baptised 18 Feb 1785 BUT no marriage of Francis & Mary (& not on IGI)
I also found a burial of Eliz, daughter of George & Sarah Newil on 1 Mar 1786 - but could not find a baptism.
Regards John
