This is quite literally "breaking news"!Does anyone have in their Tree an Edward Morris given in the 1861 Census in Manchester,as born in St Martins Shropshire in c 1830?RG9/2957/14/24.He is showing with a Wife Mary who is given as born in Chirk Denbighshire in c 1823.Also showing is a daughter Sarah,given as born in Manchester in c 1858.There may be other children who were born to the couple later,but the Family emigrated to the USA in 1869,and are later to be found in the State of Missouri.

Do you need any information on this family or is it just to see if they are recognised by anyone? I expect that I might be able to find something on Mary if it's needed.

Of course it is posted for recognition,but as for what the Mary's Surname is I wouldn't know as yet.Of course they could have married anywhere,but there is a Marriage of an Edward Morris to a Mary Griffiths at Manchester Cathedral in 1856,which looks interesting.The Griffiths Surname in this case though is merely coincidental to my main Griffiths family.

Have you found him on the 1851?
They could have been married in the borders and moved to Manchester afterward.

I can't say as I see anyone looking anything close to the Edward Morris in the earlier Census.
