Hi there hoping someone can help I am searching for my gg grandfather. James George Rogers based in Wexford when his son George Rogers was born on 8th feb 1836. His place of birth is not known nor marriage date to Margaret Kerr..poss 1830-1833
wife Margeret Kerr born 1808 poss wexford. According to family "history" he was in the Royal Irish Constabulary......and was killed in the riots in Dublin abt 1840...( shot by rioters)
There was no further details to support this and I searched ancestry's records and did not find his name.. His decendants still retained his sword till after the death of his wife in 1878. Margaret kerr remarried abt 1844 in Dublin
They migrated to Australia in 1848
hoping you can help clear up this family mystery
