Hi Barbara,
No not too far gone. I could keep going all night to improve it a bit more, but bed beckons.
I'm sure you will get more but it is a long job.
Here's my starter.

Thanks Barbara and Jim,
I had to do it. The last photo I have of my paternal grandmother was on a Co-Op ladies day out. Very similar.
They all seem to be having a good time by the smiles.

Cheers Rog. As you said yourself, this one required a few hours work - well done yourself!

Hello all, I have a special request to add to this one. Having thanked all the restorers who wore their eyes out on this big picture and said please not to do any more, too hard, I am asking for one more favour, if at all possible, and hope I'm not asking too much.
I have just found out that one of the ladies was my cousins' husband's mother, and it is the only photo of her that seems to exist, she died when he was a baby.
Would it be possible using the original pic I posted, to detach two ladies in the back row - she is either 3rd from right or 3rd from left, sorry for the confusion, and do something with them on their own, so that he can have a photo of his mum? I'd be extremely grateful
My cousin isn't sure which of the two ladies is her, only that she's 3rd from either end of the back row, and she'd like to surprise her husband by having this done, without asking him first which is correct. Hope you can help me.
Many thanks in advance Barbara

Hi Irene, sorry for the late reply, having problems with computer freezing
How lovely, thank you very much for both pictures, how quick you are!
My cousin isn't sure which of the two ladies is her, only that she's 3rd from either end of the back row, and she'd like to surprise her husband by having this done, without asking him first which is correct. Hope you can help me
Having looked more closely at them both, I'm almost convinced that the lady on the left hand side is likely to be the one, she looks much younger than the other, and was about 35 when she died in 1946. (Not sure of the date of this photo)
I think the lady on the right looks older than that, what do you think?
Thanks a lot, Barbara
