Just to let all know that the lady 3rd from left was the correct one, and that my cousin's husband was really delighted to have a photo of his mother - I gave him the prints today at a family gathering. 

Many thanks to all who looked at this, and to the really great work done on both ladies, and also on the original awful photo - I gave a print of that a while ago to my cousin to replace the creased one and she was so pleased with it.
