Hi I am looking for information on the Treeby family of Devonport/Stoke Damerel. In particular the following from the 1841 census.
Matilda Trieby age 30 Ind. born in county Mary " age 10 " " " Richard " age 9 " " " Henry " age 4 " " " T/Iryphena " age 2 " " "
Address : South side of Princes Street
Matilda's husband was believed to be William Giles Treeby. I can find no trace of William on the 1841 census so he was either absent or had died. I can find no trace of Matiida on the 1851 census so had either remarried, died or was absent. Although I cannot find any deaths/remarriages for either William or Matilda.
Their daughter Mary went on to marry Henry Evans in 1858. I don't know what happened to her siblings.
I would be grateful for any help/ideas in tracing the family. many thanks Lucy

Hi Wozzle,
Well done! Brilliant find!
Well I have had a look at the age and all I can say it is an interesting squiggle I have looked on various pages for something like it and can`t see anything. But at least we know they were alive and kicking.
By the way they were living at No. 36.
Regards, Mo
