Hi there, I have a family that came to Australia. John Watson and his wife Maria (Riley). With them came children Elizabeth, Gilbert, Sarah jane and William ( my line). They also had a daughter mary Anne who was born 11 April 1834 in Gedney. She did not come out with the family and am assuming that maybe she was married (would have been about 21 at the time) and therefore satyed with her new family. So I just want to know what happened and if any one could find a marriage for me I would be most grateful. The family lived in Fleet and Gedney up to 1850 (when William was born) and came to Oz in 1856. Thanks for taking the time to read this clocker

Thanks for that. I am more inclined to think the 1854 ones as that was before the family left for Oz. My thinking is that if she was unmarried she probably would have come with them in a family unit, as their other daughter Elizabeth at 16 travelled seperately from them although she was on the same ship. So I need to look at 2 the marriages to eliminate them. Can you tell me where I can get the details and how much it will cost. Thanks for your help Suz
sorry about the post under this I went to add some more and did it wrong and don't know how to get rid of it.

Thank you so much for the information. This whole family history stuff is a bit of a learning curve. I thought there was a possibility that she had died, but think I will follow the possibility of a marriage first and try and find children and work back from there. Thanks for the costings. Thank goodness Christmas is coming ........what does I want for Chrissy ......a certificate or two would be lovely. Cheers

Not quite the same as deaths, but near enough , many burials can be found for a few pence each at http://www.familyhistoryonline.co.uk/

Some kind person found this for me so it appears Mary was alive and kicking in 1851. So I think we need to continue down the marriage and children line to find her.
