I'm gonna try and tie up the "Game" references. Who's turn is it tomorrow anyway, or is it postponed?

1901
30 Duke street, Luton

John Wheeler head mar 70 Baker shop keeper
Elizabeth wife 69
Elizabeth Game niece dress maker b Thundridge Herts

deb Grin

referring back to this entry Elizabeth Game is shown as single aged 21

in 1891 living in same household aged 11

in 1881

RG11 1402  75  11
Public Hs Thundridge, Ware, Herts

Samuel Groom 60  head male married publican b. Baldock
Esther Groom 62  wife female married occ. wife b. Cambridgeshire
Ann Game 33 dau. female widower occ. none b. do (note on ancestry says AKA Ann Groom)
William Groom 12 grandson male scholar b. Ware
John Game 7 grandson male scholar b. Thundridge
Thos. game 5 grandson male scholar b. do.
Elizabeth Game 1  granddau. (scholar) b. Thundridge

and the marriage

Marriage:

Ann Elizabeth GROOM = Joseph GAME
mar 1873, Ware HERTS
3a 221

Joseph Game died Dec Q 1880 (born c 1834) Ware

So all 3 "Game" grandchildren were Ann Game (nee Groom) - probably and Joseph died prior to 1881 census so she was living with her father Samuel

Sometimes it would be better if we were all sitting in the same room so we could talk directly about this Arrrggghhh!

I thought
William Groom (1791)
children:
Elizabeth Groom (1832) married John Wheeler
Ann Groom (1823) - daughter Matilda Carter Groom, blind, died 1908
+ Mary Ann
~~~~~~~~-------------
Ann Elizabeth Groom who married Joseph Game was born c 1848 and had father Samuel, she is not the sister of Elizabeth Groom above.
Sorry if i'm stupid but then where is the link?  Huh
