Baptism lookup in Malpas - Completed Thank You

Hi

Does anyone have access to any baptism records for Malpas?  I am trying to find a baptism for Samuel Woolley (Wooley), born abt 1795, which will hopefully give me his parents names.  any information is appreciated.

Creamcake, have you looked at familysearch.org.  There is an entry for a Samuel, born Malpas 1795 and if you look at the family/pedigree it gives the parents names.
As the entry was submitted by a member of the church and not necessarily from the Parish Records you would still be best to check.  There is however a name and address of the submitter.

Hi Kathb

That is where I got the information from originally, I was hoping someone might have access to the parish records so that I could confirm or deny.  I have tried to get in touch with the submitters (there are two people with Samuel in their pedigree but the children differ) but to no avail.  It looks like I may have to make a trip to Chester and have a look at the original records.

That would be great....if you don't mind. I have his marriage to Elizabeth Mottershead in June 1818 but can't find a baptism anywhere. I would really appreciate it as I cannot get to Chester before the New Year.

Thank you so much.....I knew that the pedigree chart on the IGI had mixed up two families and you have just confirmed it for me, I am so grateful....I really didn't want to wait until January, you know what its like when you get a feel for something you know isn't quite right!!
