« on: Monday 26 November 07 15:07 GMT (UK) »

Hello everyone

I have found part of my family tree comes from the village of Swayfield and I would like  to know has anyone got access to the parish record so that I could pin down the bmd for the following.

THOMAS ARCHER born abt 1822  Bap ?
                           married   ?
                           died abt 1875

ANN ARCHER Born in Buckminster but died in Swayfield 1894

and any other information would be greatfully recieved.

I have Thomas`s mother Ann on the 1841 Census aged 80

Don't you think that would make her a bit old to be having kids in 1820?

Her burial was
1 June 1854 Swayfield, Ann ARCHER (85)
10 March 1839 Swayfield, Thomas ARCHER (70)

I guess you meant aged 80 in 1851 Smiley - I see she was born in Skillington and was had 2 kids bap there in 1791 and the last baptism was 1813, some time before we think Thomas was born.

In case you haven't seen 1841 census
Swayfield
Ann ARCHER 70 Charwoman
Charlott 40 Charwoman
Thos 20 Mason
George JOWETT 24 Laborer

Perhaps Thomas was Charlotte's son (father unknown)?

Yeah, it was lucky it was moi that spotted your little error. If it had been someone else they could have been really rude about you.   Grin
