I am interested to obtain all available details of all NOTTINGHAM family members in the 1851 census index for Howden? Please?

That's easier said than done as I have checked the 1851 Census for the Nottingham surname and found several, but no actual Howden place name mentioned. There are a lot of them at Sancton. Is that anywhere near Howden?

Colin,
A further check shows Nottingham family surname, at East Cottingwith, Sancton, High Catton, Newton upon Derwent,Laxton, but thats near Scarboro, so that cant be them, Hull Holy Trinity, and Low Catton. Take yoour pick.
If you could come up with any names, dates of birth, birthplace it would help narrow down search.

Hi,
If I understood the above post correctly Wobbly thinks that Laxton is near Scarboro, it might be but there is a village called Laxton about 5 miles south east of Howden.

Okay I'll have a look at that Nottingham family..

That's the one Nottingham born Gowdall and living in Laxton.. There are none either born in Howden or living in Howden
