I am looking for the marriage of
William Sewell he was still unmarried in 1901 living Maryport cumberland  his mother death was reported by Annie Sewell daughter in law  in 1905 .I would like fined Annie's maiden name can anyone help

skeleton's in cupboards I think, never been able to fined the birth of my grandfather John Sewell ,he was born Preston Lancs in abt 1828 ,never found a marriage either abt 1852-53 ,he was living in Carlisle by the time the above James was born ,got James birth cert. This is my dads family the older brother of Robert my dads father  my father told me he was ruled by his father with a rod of Iron thanks for all your info I fell reluctant to go to bed now to see what more I can fined  I am very grateful if thats the 12 year old daughter in law where is the son?

i had to have another look at the 1881 census and in my opinion whoever transcribed it as daughter in law for alice i have no idea how they came of that as i read it as wifes daughter

Yes I must admit I came to that conclusion after giving it a bit of thought knowing what I new of my dads lot must admit it did not add up just as well we take some of this with a pinch of salt never minde this lots given me hope for 2005 its endered my year very nicley all this new info Happy New Year
