Civil Registration in England and Wales started in 1837, so James would have had a birth certificate, which will give you his parents names, plus Mum's maiden name.
On FreeBMD I found this:
Births June Quarter 1841 James Deakin District: Wellington (which covers Little Wenlock) Vol: 6a, Page: 194
