Thank you Joe, for all your help. It really is appreciated. My Hannah (Unnie, Unie) died 17 Feb 1893. I was emailed a copy of her cause of death (statuary book?), but couldnt make out the handwriting. It looks like fibroid something or other. Do you have access to this information online, and do you think you could interpret the handwriting?

MsDovie,
Have you looked at the posts "stickied" at the top of the Scotland General board? They are very useful.
Do you use the IGI at FamilySearch? A great deal of information can be found there without spending credits on ScotlandsPeople. FamilySearch is at: http://www.familysearch.org
Also, most (94%) of the 1841 census for Inverness-shire is on FreeCEN at: http://www.freecen.org.uk/ As is 100% of the 1841 for Moray-shire and Nairn-shire. And about 34% of Inverness-shire for 1851, and 100% for Moray-shire and Nairn-shire.
To look at the death certificate for Hannah/Unnie/Unie from the Statutory Register (statutory registration started in 1855 in Scotland) would require someone to spend credits on the (pay per view) ScotlandsPeople site at: http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
SP (ScotlandsPeople) has OPR births/baptisms and marriages, and Statutory Register births, marriages and deaths. Also Wills.
However, you could post the relevant part of the death certificate and helpful RootsChatters stand ready and waiting to try to decipher it
Regards and best of luck,
JAP
