William Francis Jordan - 11.12.1921

I am trying to trace any family connections of my Father William Francis Jordan, born 11th. December 1921 and who's Father name was Anthony.
William died on the 30th. August 1945 when I was 4 days old, so I have never known any family members.
On William's Marriage Certificate to my Mother in 1944, it stated that his Father was deceased.
From information gleemed from my Mother, I believe the he had Brothers called Patrick, Michael and John Joe and Sisters called Kathleen and Molly.
The only other information that I have is the corner of a letter with the following address ;- 45 Castletown, Castleconnor, Ballina.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I dont know if this is any good to you While look for my grandfather Patrick Mahon I found this it is a church Baptism record
Patrick Mahon born 13 .09 1878
Adress Carrownee Paish Skreen and Dromard  Sligo
Roman Catholic
Father James Mahon Mother Catherine Jordan
Sponsor 1 John Jordan
Sponsor 2 Mary Ross

I can not say if it is of any help at the moment, as I only have the information previously posted.

I will keep the information on file and hope that some more information comes to light that will tie in.

You need to be careful about posting details of people who might still be living but can offer several suggestions of where to look next for family details.
Your father's birth certificate will list names of both parents (including mother's maiden name) and his father's occupation as well as the exact place of his birth.
Once you get those details I would suggest contacting the local church to see if your grandparents had any other children baptised there or if they were married there even (although be aware that clergymen don't always have the time or inclination to respond to letters).
Another thing to try would be to write a letter to the local newspaper asking for help from their readers. If you do so I would keep the details fairly simple in case there are family disagreements or other things which they might not want know to everyone.
