Anyone come across an Owen and Margaret Lynch in their research or family background?? (Village of Rhonehouse(869) Parish: Kelton in the 1841 and 1851 census)

I am starting to trace my family history back to Scotland from Australia. The original Lynch that came to Australia on his own was Edward Robert who was born in Balmaghie, Kirkabright, Dumfries, Scotland. Arr in Sydney 4.9.1856 on the "Lloyd" I am now trying to trace the rest of the family.

The information I have located to date is that Edward Lynch is in the 1841 and 1851 census with his parents Owen Lynch Born in Cavin Ireland and Margaret born in Meath Ireland

Wozzle. You are a legend and thank you for such a prolific (Helping me out) welcome.

I guess what I have started to look for in Scotland is the following in no particular order:

1)  confirm that the Edward Lynch I am a direct descendant of is the son of Owen and Margaret Lynch in Scotland
2)  trace Owen and Margaret Lynch back into Ireland
3)  find out if Owen and Margaret Lynch stayed in Scotland or did they emigrate somewhere overseas

No they did not come to Australia. Edward was the only one that came this way. It was always in the back of my mind that if one member of the family left Scotland for another Country then perhaps other members did as well - USA or Canada??
