Nellie BREEDON nee HERRIDGE

Hi all,

A shot in the dark.

I'm trying to trace a Nellie HERRIDGE b 4/10/1900 Frodsham Cheshire who married a George William BREEDON (b 1896 Nottingham) on 13/09/1930 in Nottingham.

They had 5 children; Arthur, Jack, Derrick, Ellen & Christine between 1931 & 1946 in the Basford/Bulwell area of Nottingham.

George William died in 1954. I cannot find Nellie re-marrying or a death!

Anybody have any connections or ideas?

Hi Dick

It is far too late for any NFHS CDs. They only go up to about 1901. The ony way forward that I can see is for you to visit Nottinghamshire Archives to look up parish registers and the death/burial registers. Without knowing where she lived could be a problem. There are many parishes in Notts.

Another thought is that the children could still be alive and the men would still be called Breedon. There are only 10 Breedon in the Nottm phone book. You could call all of them or write to them. I think this is the best idea with a well written letter.

You coud put an advert in the Nottingham Evening Post but I think the letter/phone book idea is best.

You could put a trying to trace in the NFHS newsletter.

I hope this helps.
