Trying to find Amelia Oswald born 1825 Helensburgh on the 1841 census.
Father was Henry Oswald from Kinghorn Mother Agnes..should be in Row Dunbarton?

Thats great thanks Wozzle... shes not with her family then..obviously a servant.. you dont happen to be able to find her mum and dad do you? I cant find them? Thanks for your help

Henry has remarried to a Catherine in 1834!!

Did you see a Catherine and a Henry? Eeeee..Sorry! Roll Eyes

no luck i'm afraid
the only other oswald that i can see is a mary oswald born 1826 a female servant in row,dunb.

Do you think this might be your Henry? i.e. Ancestrys  transcription errors are known to be a bit  strange sometimes  Huh

I'm glad the family is yours  Smiley  I had a quick peep on Scotlandspeople   1841 census and he appears in the index  there as plain Henry Cowald.     There are no other Cowald families in the 1841 census Scotland, so I presume this is a transcription error .
