West Bromwich map anyone?
« on: Saturday 01 January 05 15:05 UTC (UK) »

Unfortunately a chunk of West Bromwich is missing from the old-maps website.  The area I'm interested in is from Black Lake to the twon centre.

Does anyone have a copy of the large scale 1880 OS map for this area that they could scan for me?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hello Paul

Like you I've been let down by the blanks on old-maps site.  However I have a couple of 'Godfrey' maps of West Bromwich.  The1885 (North) West Brom one has a small area of Black Lake on it, mostly around the colliery and GWR railway area.  If you think it may be of use I'll try and scan it and send it to you.

Hi
I have both 1880 and 1890 Godfrey maps of West Brom.  The 1890 map has the high street from the Birmingham road to just past Carters Green and after a bit of work I have converted it to a PDF file - 5 mg unfortunately. Are these of any interest?

Regards Geoff
