I have a Butchart in my Brown/Ritchie side of my Family Tree.

Robert Brown Married Elspeth Butchart,
on 6 Dec 1782 Carmyllie Angus Scotland.

My Mum's side of the Family is Gray & Ritchie & her mother's mother was Jane
Brown who married Hendry Ritchie.

Robert Brown is Jane's G-G-Grand Father.

Children of Robert Brown & Elspeth Butchart.

1) William Brown b 20 Sep 1783 Carmyllie Angus Scotland.
                           d. 3rd March 1820 Carmyllie Angus Scotland.
                              Married Helen Ormond. d.1819.
                       v)  Margaret Elizabeth Brown b. 20th January 1818
Abirlot Parish Carmyllie Angus Scotland.
2) David Brown b. 8th November 1789 Carmyllie Angus Scotland.
3) Ann Brown    b.19th April 1792 Carmyllie Angus Scotland.
4) Elspeth Brown b. 6th December 1795 Carmyllie Angus Scotland.

Children of William Brown & Helen Ormond.

i) David Ormond Brown b. 12th Sept 1807 Carmyllie Forfar.
                       Dwelling 4 Kinnaird Street Carmyllie Forfar.
                        Occupation Clock Jobber.
                            d.  24th January 1883 Friockheim Angus.
                       Married Helen Muggins 7 Nov 1828.
                           b. 1806  Friockheim Angus.
                           d. 2nd January 1889 Friockheim Angus.

           ii) John Brown b. 3rd August 1809  Carmyllie Angus Scotland.
            iii) Ann Brown b. 9th July 1813  Carmyllie Angus Scotland.

This is a long shot, but I dont suppose you have an Ann Smith Ritchie on your line??  I keep hitting brick walls with her and her family so am grasping at any straws right now!  Im sure you know what its like and will forgive me for jumpin all over youre thread!

Sorry I dont have a Ann Smith Ritchie on my tree, only a Ann Ritchie b abt 1845 in Forfar, Forfarshire, Scotland - parents Alexander Ritchie & Elizabeth Welsh.

If I find anything on a Ann Smith Ritchie I will contact you. Good Luck with your search.
