heres hoping some kind soul can help ?
a close family friend passed away earlier this year and i have been asked if i can do some sort of family tree for his son who knows nothing what so ever about his dads childhood and family.
details i have are sparse and a miracle would be lovely  Cheesy
matthew joseph george mcdermott was born 18th aug 1923 in county meath.i have no idea how to apply for an irish birth certificate in order to go further back with his family.
any suggestions would be gratfully received as iam used to the english records system and am feeling a bit out of my depth so to speak

hi there, dont know if this is any assistance but you can call the Deaths, Births and Marriages office in Navan, Meath for all records they should have on their system.  Their number is 00 353 9097833.  I spoke with a Mary Conroy there and she was fantastic... Hope this helps
