Hi
I am going to ask a huge favour of someone if they are visiting the Somerset Record Offices. I wonder if they would be kind enough to see what information is available and if it is possible to take pictures of the lady in question please?
The inforamtion I have had back from the records office is below which I hope may help in looking for her.
"The case books of Mendip Hospital include biographical and case histories of patients, arranged by date of admission. Photographs of patients appear from 1894 onwards.
An appointment is essential. You should ask for the case books of Mendip Hospital, (our reference D/H/Men), for the relevant period. If you have a camera it is advisable to bring this with you, if you wish to copy the notes on Ethel, as we cannot photocopy from these books, (although scanning is an option)."
If anyone can help me please I will forward all the information I have on my g.aunt Ethel.
Many thanks
