Hi everyone

My great grandmother was Marion Thomson Brackenridge born 7/7/1889 at 25 Peebles St, Ayr and died 16/8/1933 in Hawkhead Asylum. She was one of 8 children and I know that when she was admitted into the asylum only 2 of her siblings were still alive. I would love to try and trace her siblings' descendants as very little is known about this side of the family.

I am trying to find out more about the following people:

Jane Brackenridge born c1887 Newton on Ayr. I cannot find any marriage or death records for her but I know she was still alive in January 1930.

Sarah McClure Brackenridge born c1891 Newton on Ayr. She married John McLeod on 6/2/1915 in Ayr and I know they had at least 2 children - John Brackenridge McLeod born 1920 in Ayr and Agnes McBurnie McLeod born 1927 in Ayr. Sarah died in 1977 in Ayr.

I would be very very grateful for any info on these people/their descendants

I'm new to RootsChat , but browsing I spotted your entry. I have a Brackenridge amongst my tribe the details are as follows

"ALEXANDER RAMSAY
&
HELEN BRACKENRIDGE/BRECKENRIDGE
They were married on the 28th of March 1883, at 23 Peebles Street, Newton, Ayr. He is a 21 year old iron turner, living at 8 Fowlds Street Kilmarnock. Helen is a 28 year old cook, living at 1 Fore Street Kilmarnock. Her parents are James, an inspector of the poor; her mother’s maiden name was Marion Thomson.

In the 1901 census Alexander is shown as living at 65 Princes Street Ayr, along with his wife Helen. They also have an unmarried 18 year old niece called Elizabeth Brackenridge living there; Alexander is down as a coachman"

You have 25 Peebles street and I have 23 could one of us have made a mistake ?
