Mauds mother was Sarah Jane lownds born c1847 cheadle her father was thomas lowndsin the 1851 it states his wife as Elizabeth,with a step-daughtr "Ann Stringer" age 19. yet on FreeBMD an 1844 marriage for Thomas Lownds is to an Elizabeth Perkin??.....1851 Ho107/2009 f296 p17
