I wonder if anyone has a dob for Catherine, who I believe married Alexander in 1677. Her father was Laurence Charters. The Hays were from Spott but I don't have any information on where the Charters came from. Any help would be appreciated.

Right, now we have the correct marriage date:
SP has Catharine Charters 2 March 1675, Edinburgh
Parents - Laurence Charters and Barbara Scott
I wonder if William(e) and Laurence were related?

Thanks for the quick replies. I had her birth as 1675, but had her marriage as 1677, so I knew I had something wrong. So it looks as if you've got me back on track again. Much obliged.
