I wish I could figure out what the last few posts on this thread are about - how did we get into a church from the Lees Street cenotaph ?

Sorry ... it's me and my butterfly mind again !!

The church is the St Francis Monastery in Gorton .... or the Gorton Monastery .... and I'm doing a WW1 Honour Roll for it ..... the original has been lost .... so I'm collecting all kinds of photos etc to see if we can find the original names ! Tony just came across a film of the very last Mass that was said there in the 1980's

Sorry if we confused everybody ..... but it's Christmas after all !!

Annie, if you look at the base of the monument, you will see i have taken all four sides for you . 
 4 side = a square  5 sides = a Pentagon
