Timmons of Fordstown
« on: Saturday 08 December 07 19:35 UTC (UK) »

Hi Grin

I am looking for information about my Grandfather Terence Timmons who came from Fordstown in Co Meath and emigrated to England in the early 20th century.

The only information I have  is that he first went to Liverpool then on to Manchester, and in the First World War he served in the Liverpool Regiment as an hon 2nd lt and was injured in the hand/arm. He became a schoolmaster and wore a black leather glove because of his injuries.

I know that he had one brother called Tommy (but possibly more) and he would have been born about 1890.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

                                                                 JOHN

Hi and thanks for the reply, My parents have never visited Fordstown but I believe an uncle of mine may have in the past. Is there any way to access the family tree?
